Christopher J. Scolese served as the Acting Administrator of NASA from January 20, 2009 until July 15, 2009, when Charles F. Bolden, Jr. was confirmed by the Senate. Currently, he serves as the Director of NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center, a position that he assumed on March 5, 2012. Some of Scolese's previous positions include serving as NASA’s Chief Engineer and Goddard’s Deputy Director. He studied at State University of New York at Buffalo.
