English: Photograph of Comet Mrkos, 1957 d, taken with the 48-inch Schmidt telescope at the Palomar Observatory on August 25.19, 1957 (UT). The right-angle feature is 129 mm from the tip of the head of the comet, and is to the right (north) of the axis of the tail.
