卡乌族（Kanza、Kansa、Kaw），又称“南风的子民”、“水之民”[2]，是一支居住于奥克拉荷马州和堪萨斯州的美国原住民，其语言卡乌语属于苏语族[3]。堪萨斯州政府所在城市托皮卡，即来自卡乌语“Tó Ppí Kˀé”，意为“适合种植马铃薯的地方”[4]。
卡乌族与邻近的欧塞奇族关系密切，两族时常通婚。
政府
[编辑]卡乌族国的总部位于俄克拉荷马州卡乌市，部落管辖区域位于凯县境内。在 3,126 名注册会员中，有1,428 名族人居住在俄克拉荷马州。[1]
